The Rendez Vous gîte:assembly home, is an old converted French farm house with thick stone walls, a tiled floor and an old beamed ceiling - very stylish! The old mangers have been kept and are now part of the interior.
Lay out : in the large dining room where you enter the house is an old rural dinig table that sits 10 and a cosy sitting area around the open fire. There is a spacious kitchen. From the dining room that forms one area with the living, you can go to the back terrace from where you have a view of the swimming pool and the garden. In the living is a big open fire and an old oak staircase that takes you to the first floor.Upstairs are three large romantic bedrooms with oak floors and old furniture, each with its own bathroom and toilet. The rooms, one for 4 persons, one for three and one for two, have double and single beds. The thick wall provide cool rooms. In the living is a tv-set and a nice sitting area.
In short : a lovely home and a perfect place to have a rendez vous with family or friends.
Exterior
Rendez-Vous is situated next to ” Castel Bouysset”. The ”Castel” was built in medieval style on the hilly estate of Bouysset.The ca 40 acres of the estate, with the beautiful walnut orchard, real ruins and many footpaths, give you the opportunity to enjoy a delightful holiday. In the evening you can rest after e wonderful day in the illuminated gardens of the ”Castel”or on the terrace of your gîte. In the daytime relax near your swimming pool, or after a day out a refreshing dive. You can also use the barbecues in the garden or under the coverd terrace. In short : a perfect holiday in medieval surroundings.
Things to do locally
Canoe or kayak.
On the more than 300 kilometers of rivers, the Lot for
instance, fantastic trips can be made, either organised
or individually. The degree of difficulty can be chosen.
Loading quays are indicated. Castel Bouysset offers
the opportunity to park your canoe in its own locked
shed.
Riding.
The many paths make it possible to ride to the small
medieval hamlets, where there is still time for a chat
with the local peasants.There are also separate and
sign posted roads through valleys and plateaus. Castel
Bouysset has the opportunity to keep your horses in the
orchard with 1200 walnut trees. next to your gîte or
chambre d’hotes.
Walking.
The great diversity of the landscape make the Lot
department very suited for hiking.From the same place
different walking trips can be made every day of some
hours or a whole day. The many riverbeds, valleys with
rock faces and plateaus offer the opportunity for
climbing and ”abseilen”.
Cycling.
The Lot offers 3000 kms of signposted roads and
paths for cyclists with :
white-red signposts of the Grande Randonnees;
more than 150 circuits of some hours or a whole day;
10,000 kms of other roads;
sufficient stopping places with bed and breakfast,
associated with Rando Etappe ( Castel Bouysset is
also part of this association.)
Fishing.
The river Lot and the many lakes in the neighbourhood
are an eldorado for the true fisherman.

In the northern part of the Midi-Pyrenees, just south of the Dordogne, runs the river Lot. In the Lot valley, near the towns of Fumel and Duravel, is the small medieval village St.Martin-le Redon. The village has a pittoresque square with a medieval church and pub. The local bakery and a small grocery, you will find in the nearesd village Montcarbier. Just outside the village across St.Martin, is situated theCastel Bouysset estate with the walnut orchard, the fantastic views ans its romantic gîtes near the swimmingpool.A delightful place where you can spend a wonderful holiday.
St. Martin le Redon is in the Cahors region. In the direct neighbourhood are Chateaus where you can taste the wines. Also there are nice, romantic restaurants where you can enjoy the specialities of the region: Fish, Foie Gras, Canard and many more delicious meals.
From the motorway to Toulouse you take the Cahors exit and take the N911 till Fumel. By Condat you go to the right on road D673. Aftyer +/- 5 km you see the castel on the right side.
Other remarks
A very luxurious big house 250 m2: with his own terras next to the swimmingpool to enjoy the cool evening after a warm day. On the terras a big barbeque, Couches and parasols are available at the pool. Own parking lot and special space for your dog or horse. Linnen, bedclothes and towels for the pool are included.
At our Gîtes are included all sheets, towels (also for the pool) and linens for your stay.
Your bed is cleand-up by arrive and we give you an warm welkom with drinks.
There is also the possibility to rent a hotel room at the Gîtes, “Gai Riant”, available for one or two persons with a separate entrance, private bath and toilet. This room is also suitable for handicapped visitors. Or for 2 singels pers.
