| The living room has an open fire with a cosy seating arrangement around it. The kitchen has all the equipment necessary for your stay and there is a separate dining room. From the living room and dinning rooms there is direct access to the luxury terrace and swimming pool equipped with sun lounges and chairs. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, a bathroom with a double sink, shower and toilet.

| Our house is located in a large clearing in the middle of the Gironde forest. From the garden itself many trails lead into the forest. The forest contains splendid seasonal mushrooms and large fir cones throughout the year. The swimming pool is near the house and is encircled by a large terrace. Around the gîte there is a lot of room for both sunbathers and shade seekers in and around the shadow of many large trees.

| There is enough room around the house for football and badminton etc. About 17km away there is an 18-hole golf course in Casteljaloux, a riding stables for beginner and experienced riders, a lake with canoeing, pedalos and a water slide for children.

| South-west France is a gourmet’s paradise. Foie gras, confit de canard and other local specialities take pride of place in the local cuisine. The area around Bordeaux offers the nearest traditional kitchens, with pretty much every conceivable type of restaurant. Bordeaux is also a wine Mecca, with many top name wines such as Mouton Rothschild, Margaux, Yquem and as many castles and vineyards that you could ever wish to visit. The tourist office in Casteljaloux will be able to provide you with more information. Casteljaloux itself also has a few good restaurants to suit a diverse range of budgets.

| The price of the gîte is for an occupancy of up to and including 4 people with an additional charge of 40 euros per person in the low season, 75 in the mid-season and 100 in the high season. For example if you hire the gîte in July with five people the cost will be 950 euros + 100 euro = 1050 euros. There is also a compulsory cleaning charge of 60. Bed linen can be hired at a cost of 7 euro per person, and the a deposit of 300 euros is required. Pets are allowed on a discretionary basis. The caretaker should be paid for any firewood that is used.
