| Les Oliviers is built as a closter and nowerdays it is a ”Maison de Maitre” with basements dating to the 14th century. The house is built on a hillside and has many characteristic marks. Above the basement are the eat-in kitchen, den, bathroom with shower, living room, 2 bedrooms and a shed. Upstairs are another 2 bedrooms of which one has a double bed and the other a twin. There is also a portable single bed as well as a second bathroom with shower, toilet, wash bin and bath. The house is very cosy and comfortably decorated. There is a fireplace along the wall between the living room and the kitchen. The backyard is 1200 m2 with a swimming pool and offers complete privacy whether you sit in the sun or in the shade.

| From the big patio you overlook the landscape seeing the olive orchard and the village of Les Mages. Just a walk away are the baker, butcher, grocers, drugstore and two cafes. Les Oliviers is located on the edge of the Gard and the Ardeche at the foot of the beautiful Cevennes mountaintops. The medieval city of St. Ambroix is just 3 kilometres away and you can reach the Mediterranean Sea in just a little more than an hours drive.

| You can go hiking, biking, climbing or enjoy many other mountain sports in the beautiful Ceyennes or visit the stalactite caves here. The gorges of the Ardeche and the Tarne or the Ceze river are excellent for canoeing, fishing or even swimming. Not far off play tennis in Les Mages and only 45 kilometres away are interesting towns to visit like Nimes and Uzes. All around you will come across many sites remaining from the Roman period such as in Pont du Gard.

| Les Oliviers is situated in Languedoc Roussillon resting between the wine regions of the Ardeche and Cote du Rhone. There are many restaurants scattered about the area but also many good pizzeria’s and creperies to try. The pelardon is the regional farmers goat cheese, added to many local recipes.

| The gîte can be rented all year round. In this region of France, each season has its own charm. The prices are for four persons. There is a little surplus if you want to rent the house for more than four persons. Please contact us for more information.
