This is truly a beautiful and romantic place. There is a fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor. Above the kitchen, there is a bread oven, which has been completely restored a couple of years ago, along with the entire tower. Outside there is a terrace with a built-in stone barbecue.
The carved staircase brings you to the first floor, where you will find the living room with fireplace, satellite TV (all Dutch channels available), bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. This level also gives access to the private terrace and the large outdoor jacuzzi, for the exclusive enjoyment of ”Le Pigeonnier” tenants... Imagine yourself admiring the starlit skies from the jacuzzi!!!
The staircase then brings you to the second floor where the bedroom is situated, with a truly romantic bed... The pleasant memories of your stay at le Pigeonnier won’t be easily forgotten.
Exterior
Coux et Bigaroque, often shortened to Le Coux, lies in the extreme southern point of the Dordogne, in the Périgord Noir. It is the ideal starting point of several visits and excursions. Especially during the high season, you’ll be able to enjoy visits to the busier attractions. The beautiful, divers and hilly landscape of the Dordogne offers a wealth of castles, churches, music festivals, musea, market places and brocantes. But it is also possible to play golf or visit an amusement park.
Of course you are very welcome to stay on the property to take a dip in the pool, play some jeu de boules, and for the youngsters among you there is also a play castle on the premises. Of course hikes are always possible and highly recommended. You could also take a minute to visit our (drinkable) watersource, from the rocks. There is also an old shepherds’ sleeping place, which must be hundreds of years old but is still intact. They used to sleep in such shelters when they hiked through the area with their sheep. In the same spirit, there are several other spots on our property worth discovering.

The area has a never-ending wealth of fresh products, of which the inhabitants are of course very proud. The famous Foie-gras, magret de canard, truffles, wild mushrooms and walnutoil are just a few examples.
Other remarks
The rental starts Saturdays at 14:00, and we kindly ask you to leave the house before 11:00 on the Saturday of departure. The warranty deposit is € 150,- and the final cleaning (mandatory) is € 50,
