Our charming, tastefully furnished gîte has all modern amenities. The living room has a wood burning stove, a large sofa, a flat screen satellite tv with the main channels. In the dining room you will find a large table. The kitchen is well equipped with all modern amenities. On the ground floor there is one bedroom with separate bathroom and separate toilet. On all bedroom and living room ceilings there are remote controlled ventilators. Outside on the south facing large veranda there is cozy summer kitchen built of sand stone, with a Boretti gas barbecue, a wooden dining table and another wood burning stove for cooler evenings. In the garage are a washing machine/dryer and a supplementary fridge with deepfreeze.
Exterior
Our charming house is situated on a ’domaine’ with several other holiday villas. On the domaine the caretaker’s couple is available for all your questions or requests. Sitting on the hillside, the house offers a stunning wide view on the valley. On this side there is also the heated saltwater pool. From here you can see the Luberon and the Alpilles. The nearest village is Fontaine Vaucluse, 3 minutes drive, or a short walk, well known for its source from a large inner lake. Within 5 min. you are in l’Isle sur la Sorque, also known as Venice of the Provence, because of the small canals that surround the old center, where you will find supermarkets, shops and many restaurants with lovely terraces. L’isle sur la Sorgue is known throughout the world for its 300 antique and brocante shops and for its Sunday market with brocante and regional products. On 20 km you’ll find Avignon with its culture (Palais des Papes) and its lovely city center. Also on 20 km there is Carpentras and the well-known Mont Ventoux, where in winter skiing is possible. Within a 10-20 minutes drive you will find famous villages such as Menderes, Gourds, Roussillon. Every day there are markets in one of the local villages and towns.
Things to do locally
On the domaine there are two tennis courts at your disposal (tennis rackets provided). Apart from the heated, private salt water pool near the gîte, there is a common pool on the property with a paddling pool for small children. Apart from the bikes at the house here are ATB-bikes for rent on the domaine, where there is also a bread service and the care taker’s couple that can provide all the needed information on the surroundings. On 1 km there is the beautiful 18 holes golf course, ”Provence Country Club”, with lovely views on the valley. Canoeing, survival and riding are on 1 km from the gîte.

In the near surroundings you will find the vineyards of the Mont Ventoux and the Côtes du Rhône. In the surrounding villages there are many restaurants and terraces for you to enjoy.

Our prices include final cleaning, bed linen and towels (obligatory). Please bring your own pool towels. Please let us know if you need a high chair and a cot.
We ask for a safety deposit of € 600.
