La Terrasse was built in the 1800‘s and has now been converted into a comfortable and spacious holiday home for couples who want that little bit more from thier holiday accommodation . From the moment you walk in , you will be enchanted by the warmth and homely feel of the house that makes you feel at home .
Combining origional features such as wooden beams and exposed stone walls with modern appliances for year round comfort , it is the ideal retreat for peace , quiet and total relaxation and , comes fully equipped . Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment .
The bedroom is on the lower floor and has a comfortable double bed with bedside tables and lamps , there is a wardrobe with shelving for clothes , a mirror , hairdryer , electric radiator and south facing window.
The spacious shower room has a walk-in shower , wash basin with shelves , mirror and storage , heated towel rail , w.c and a washing machine is located under the stairs.
The first floor living room has the old wooden beams and low ceilings and wall lights with dimmer switches . There is a wood burning fire for use during early or late season lets as well as the large electric radiator .
There is an old , comfortable leather suite , a 3 seater sofa and 2 arm chairs , a long coffee table , dvd / cd player , English satalite tv , a small book case with lots of holiday reading (english) and maps of the local area. The living room window faces south with views over the village and onto open countryside .
On the top floor is the kitchen/diner . The old exposed stone walls give that rustic feel and the hand made kitchen is well equipped for your holiday needs . There is a ceramic hob and electric oven with working space either side for meal preparation , a fridge/freezer , combination oven/microwave and plenty crockery , cutlery , pots , pans and untensils , there is also a coffee filter . The dining table and chairs are opposite where there are wall lights and an electric radiator .
From here you step through the double sliding patio doors onto the lovely roof terrace giving wonderful open views of the village , the old church , the 12C chateau and the lovely open countryside countryside. There is an outside dining table with chairs , a gas barbecue , 2 sunloungers and wall lights for the evening dining .
On your arrival we will always make sure there is enough , tea , coffe , sugar , kitchen and toilet rolls , washing up liquid and washing powder , salt and peppr for at least the first few days if not for the full duration of your holidays , and cleanliness is assured.

Le Vivier is surrounded by open and unspoiled countryside , ideal for nature lovers who enjoy walking , bird watching and appreciating outdoor life .
Walks vary in length from half an hour to a full days walking between other villages. Also in the village there is crazy golf , a plein d‘eau for swimming and a tennis court .
Situated in the heart of the stunning scenery of the Fenouilledes region , a major wine producing area , there are many wine caves where you are welcome to sample some of the local wines . The amazing Cathar Castles of Queribus , Peyrepertuse and Puilaurens are not far away and are always worth a visit , as is the Gorge de Galamus and the fabulous Roman aquaduct , still used during the summer months for irrigation.
The large openair pool of Fosse is under 5 mins drive and opens July and August , 6 afternoons a week.
To stock up , you will find openair markets in surrounding villages providing home grown and fresh produce , an ideal way to mix with the locals and practice your French .

If you want more in the way of activities you can always try , white water rafting , canoeing , fishing , horse riding at the Castel Fizel activities centre .
The busy Mediterranean resorts are approx 1hrs drive where you will find more water sports and some good seafood restaurants .
The nearest ski resorts are approx 1hr - 1.5 hrs drive , of which there are several to choose from and all have various runs from blue to red .

| Because all the villages around Le Vivier are close together , you are never more than a few minutes drive from a choice of bars , restaurants , cafes , newsagents , bread shops , butchers , supermarkets , banks and petrol stations . Where ever you go you will find a good choice of food at reasonable prices and very friendly people .

Le Vivier is approx 60 kms west of Perpignan on the main Foix road the D117 and from Carcassonne following the D118 through Limoux and Quillan onto the D117 to Perpignan .
From Caudies de Fenouilledes you take the D9 onto Fosse and into Le Vivier
The price includes all bed linen and towels , electricity and heating.
A deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking and the balance is due 6 weeks prior to your arrival.
Arrival day is normally saturday but in early or late season we will try to be flexible.
Arrival time after 4pm
Departure time before 10.30 am - This allows a full changover to be completed.
