La Pommerale has recently been purchased as second home and has been completely renovated to a high standard and with all modern conveniences such as central heating, fully equipped kitchen and a magnificent bathroom. The furnishings are luxurious and yet rural. The house is larger inside than one would expect from the outside. There is a roomy dining/kitchen with all amenities such as large working top dishwasher and a five pits hob. The inglenook fireplace is the central talking piece. There is a utility room with washing machine and dryer. The bathroom has two large ceiling shower jets and has recently been renovated to a high standard. Via a stone stairway you enter the dining room with authentic touches such as the beamed ceiling and old doors. The large dining room table can seat 10 to 14 people for your diner parties. From the dining room you enter the living room (600 square feet) with again a large inglenook fireplace and a large sofa and a double bed. Through the French doors you come into the large garden with enclosed patio large terrace, magnificent views and an old barn all of which remind you that you are in France... On the ground floor there is also the master bedroom with views out onto the patio and garden. A box spring twin bed ensures a good nights sleep.

Roussillon en Morvan is a typical Morvandans village with a village plain with the church the village hall and the local auberge. The village is a part of the Morvan which has a varied mountain and hilly landscape with heights going up to 903 meters. Since 1970 it is an official ’Parc Naturel Régional’. The Morvan is made up of forests, woods, hills and brooks. You will also find highlands with granite, rivers, beautiful lakes and large variety of wildlife. In the area the river Yonne has its spring and several other smaller rivers have their source in the Morvan. From the viewpoint ‘Panorama du Calvaire’ at a height of 600 meters - situated close to the Chateau Chinon - you have views over the surrounding landscape and nature reserve.

Arrival and departure are on Saturdays with other arrival dates possible on request. Prices are including bed linen, kitchen good, gas, water, central heating cost and electricity. You only have to take your luggage! Everything else is in the house. There is also sufficient cutlery, dishes and cooking utensils in the kitchen.
