In September and October we have a very atractive ”after summer” arrangement, just as our ”spring” arrangement for the months of April, May and June. Just ask us for a special price for a minimum of 4 weeks and discover the beautiful countryside of the Correze
Interior
This picturesque former baker’s house from 1896 has been tastefully restored, respecting the original features. The kitchen has a ”cantou” with woodstove. The living room doors open onto a spacious balcony with spectacular views of the Dordogne valley. La Petite comes fully equipped with modern amenities like a bath and shower unit and toilets on each floor. La Petite is comfortable, pretty and a welcoming place to stay all year round.
Exterior
Miege-Dame is a hamlet on the edge of Corrèze and Dordogne, about 10 km from Terrasson on the border of La Vezere river. There are many interesting historic sites as well as the famous ’Jardins de l’Imaginaire’. There are also many supermarkets, shops, restaurants and a weekly market where the local farmers and artisans sell their produce.
The area is peacefully rural with beautiful hills and fabulous views. Lovely villages and towns like Perpezac-le-Blanc with its very ancient bakery, Saint Robert, Yssandon, Hautefort, Collognes-la-Rouge, Montignac, Sarlat and Brive all lie within easy reach.
Things to do locally
Whether you would like to enjoy a nice glass of wine on a cosy terrace in one of the many interesting towns or visit the unique prehistoric museum in Les Eyzies. Or perhaps hike or go rafting along the Dordogne, there are plenty possibilities for everyone to have the holiday of their dreams.
Following activities possible nearby (max 30 minutes by car)
There are plenty nice places to have a drink or go out for a meal in the area such as the McDonalds in Terrasson. The ”Chez Madame Nadine Borel” in Ayen is modest, homely and good value for money. Those wanting a more chic atmosphere could visit one of the more upmarket restaurants in Terrasson. Restaurants selling toasted sandwiches, Croque Monsieurs, and crepes are also available nearby.
Perhaps you would you like to fill up your ”empties” with a lovely Bergerac right from the barrel? This, as well as buying many local wines, is all possible in Terrasson.
