We invite you into our home, entring through the main door that leads directly into the large kitchen. On a cold day, warm yourself by the fire that’s at the center of the kitchen and living room. Around the dining table -big enough for six- you’ll enjoy your french cooking and, once dinner is done, you’ll just walk across into the living room. The living room is furnished with a french wooden ceiling and old stone walls that give you the real living-in-the-french-country-side feeling.
At ground level you’ll also find the first bedroom and toilet and, of course, the stairs that lead up to first level, where you’ll find two more bed rooms and a large bathroom (shower, toilet and two washbins).
In the morning drink your first coffee or tea in the garden, where you enjoy the morning sun (south). You might as well spend the whole day right there since the sun is on this side of the house all day. When at lasts it’s time for a glass of real french bourgondy wine, you can move to the ’atrium’, our inner-garden that looks over the valley to the summet of the next hill beyond, with its chapel, where sunsets color the evening sky in full colors of red and blue.... That’s where you really get the feeling to be living ”as a God in France”

| Our house is in the Haut Morvan (moyenne montagne) , a fairly high part of Regional Natural Parc Le Morvan. In this part of the Parc you find hills and valleys, forests, meadows, and lots of small rivers that meander through the valleys. The Morvan is known for its lovely nature and the large variety of species of birds and other rare species. Of course there are foxes, deer and wild boars. The house is surrounded by meadows and forest and there is a small stream nearby where the children will love to play. If you enjoy swimming Lac de Panneciere is at only 6 kms. This largest lake of the Morvan, is a beautiful area where you can swim, row, fish and... enjoy getting a tan. Another lake, the Lac des Settons, is at 15 kms from our house. This is a lake where you can rent boats, water-cycles and where you can surf, swim, sail and jet-ski. Around this lake you will find several restaurants that will serve you the local kitchen stuff, or you can pick out a Thai or Italien restaurant. For your every-day shopping you will find Chateau Chinon at 6 kms with its traditional bakeries for your french ”baguette”, some supermarkets, a traditional butcher and..... some bars and a french cinema.

| Criss-cross through the forests, valleys and hills of the Morvan; there are about 3600 kms of ”sentiers” and ”petits chemins”: small trails and tracks of which most are rarely used. You can wander for hours without ever meeting anyone. It is an ideal area for people who like to go hiking or mountainbiking. Passing through forests and over hills, enjoy the superb views that’ll surprise you every time you reach a clearing. Being a hill-valley country, you can exercise you skills on a road-bike for kilometers a day taking several ”cols” in a few kilometers only.... Lac de Panneciere invites everyone who likes to swim, as for Lac des Settons... does anyone like to sail, surf, do some canoe-ing or jet-ski? (of swim, of course)
