- possibility to book lunch as well, and to finish each class together with a lunch locally

Shiatsu Escape
Treatment every day by our ’in-house’ acupuncturist! Afterwards enjoy lounging at our pool or when weather has changed we will gladly invite you in our live-in kitchen with wonderful fireplace, or grab a book to read from our small library and curl up on our comfortable couch.

Househunting in the Gers
Several specialists, a language and liaison expert (www.feetinfrance.fr), a multi-lingual real estate agent and a mortgage broker will guide you to discover the Gers, the housing market, rules & regulations and financing possibilities. This includes a dinner besides breakfast every day.
Rate is € 200 euro p.p. or £ 158 p.p.

We offer long term lets as well from mid-October 2007 until the end of March 2008. Our beautiful apartment is large (78 square meters), has 2 bedrooms (4 people+ children’s bed available) and a fully equipped kitchen. So use our apartment or Gîte as your home base to look for that dream house in the Gers or just stay and enjoy he calm, silence and do nothing! Please contact us for details, conditions and prices.
Interior
The house is facing south and has been decorated in Mediterranean style and colors. In the garden is a beautiful kidney shaped swimming pool of 4m x 9m. There are 3 guest rooms and one self-catering apartment, fully equipped with 1 bedroom (+ 1 extra bedroom possible).
Every room has 2x single beds, private bathroom, coffee-tea service, and every morning a lovely breakfast is served from 08.30-11.00 am for our bed & breakfast guests. The apartment is rented as a separate unit, beds are made upon arrival and the first essential shopping is ready in the fridge. Washer & dryer available upon request. This is all including the prices, however, obligatory cleaning at the end of your stay or an additional € 25,00 will be added. The apartment is rented from Saturday at 16.00 until the following Saturday til 12 noon.
Exterior
Region: Gers (Armagnac, Gascogne, and Lourdes)
The Gers regio, where mass tourism has not yet infiltrated, is a region with more than 500 castles and 400 lakes.The region is also known for its purest air quality within Europe. Lots of recreational activities are possible from hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, horseback riding, cross country by jeep to flying sports planes; a true paradise for the adventure seeker. For further information: www.tourisme-midi-pyrenees. Directly around the house are gently sloping hills and on a clear day, the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees are visible. Several ski resorts are nearby like Le Mongie or Le Tourmalet. For details check www.skifrance.fr and click Pyrénées.
Things to do locally
On Monday and Saturday there is a farmers’ market in Mirande (4km/2,5mi), on Thursday in Auch (20km/17mi). During the summer various festivals are organized, i.e. the Country-Western Festival in Mirande and the world-famous Jazz Festival in Marciac (20km/17 mi) in July and August. There are many lakes in the area and 3 golf courses, one only 15 minutes away at the beautiful Château ‘La Pallanne’ (18-hole). Off-season special arrangements can be booked such as Golf, cooking courses,Tai Chi Chuan, Qi Gong, and Shiatsu ‘pamper yourself’ weeks. We have several bicycles available for you which will enable you to explore the area nearby our house!
Following activities possible nearby (max 30 minutes by car)
A lovely breakfast is served from 08.30-11.00 am for our bed & breakfast guests.
Special regional drinks or ‘special Gersois’ are next to the famous Armagnac, Le Pousse-Rapière (Armagnac and a vin sauvage or bubbly) en Floc de Gascogne (liqueur which is great in combination with Foie Gras). Most of the wine region is in west part of the Gers i.e. the Madiran region. We can always have you taste the wine served in the Salon Rouge. You write down what you have consumed and at the end of your visit we add it to your bill. Les spécialités de la région Midi-Pyrénées are foie gras, truffels, Roquefort cheese, prunes from Agen.
Restaurants in the neighborhood.
Le Métropole and Entre Deux in Mirande, La Petite Auberge in Marciac or a little further, Au Bon Roy Henri in Barbotan-les-Thermes are 3 good restaurants in the area. Please also check via www.restaurateursdefrance.com, a restaurant site or try a Ferme-Auberge, a farm which has a simple restaurant offering regional and it own produced foods. We also recommend to do as the French do and that is, to have a lovely long and hot lunch and eat light at night. A 3-course warm lunch can be found everywhere in the area for as little as 10€ per person, including wine!
Other remarks
What is unique for our B & B is that if you so wish, you can combine your stay with Shiatsu or acupuncture treatments. In the off season workshops are regularly organised such as Tai-Chi, Qi-Kong en Shiatsu.
What makes us different? Because we offer many little extra’s:
- every room is equipped with 2 x single (hotel)boxspringbeds (Crownbedding) and extra long (2.10 m)
- each room has its own private bathroom with nice fluffy towels (change possible during longer stays)
- including the apartment rental is the linen for beds(beds are already made up!) and kitchen, and first breakfast items are put in your fridge.
- coffee & thee service in all B & B rooms and a lovely breakfast with fruit, eggs, breads, juice etc
- treatments for relaxation available upon request
- workshops in Tai-Chi/Qi-gong, Shiatsu also available

The apartment is rented from Saturday 16.00 up until the next Saturday 12.00. the B & B rooms or Chambre d’hôtes start at 55 euro per room per night (incl. breakfast for 2) and are rented by the day.
Closest airports : Toulouse Blagnac + Pau airport have regular flights from several European cities+ car rental) and are both about 90 minute drive.
