Chateau du Besset is a 17th century castle that we had completely restored and built into several lovely apartments in 2000. These have been authentically decorated with a very large open fireplace in the living room, a great luxurious bathroom with massage showerhead and double sink, a big modernized kitchen, separate dining room, 3 large bedrooms. Each has its own entrance within the castle.
We have now also the possibility for B&B.
Exterior
Our castle is surrounded by 25000 m2 of royal gardens with many different fruit trees and patios with barbecues. We have a bio-swimming pool, secured and fenced in. The rest of the area is full of shrubs and woods lined by little creeks and old estate structures. There is lots to see and do in the vicinity.
Things to do locally
On the castle grounds are ball fields like volleyball and soccer. We have a trampoline, climbing facilities, sliding pond, sandbox, ping-Pong table and soccer game. We also have mountain bikes available for you. Behind the castle are wonderful walking paths and close by is the River Doux with several good sandy beaches.
Following activities possible nearby (max 30 minutes by car)
We recommend many local farms to visit (one of which is only a kilometre away and great for kids too), not to mention all the wine cellars to explore. Delight yourself with culinary delicacies from the Ardeschoise kitchen as well.
