ACCOMMODATION
The overall style inside the guesthouse is minimalist, a happy marriage of wood and exposed stonework, offset by hot red sofas and other contemporary items of furniture. The open plan kitchen off the living area has wooden worktops, a large Butler sink and a fitted oven and hob, there is also a large barbeque on the terrace. The sofas grouped around a wood-burning stove in the living area, close enough for those cooking not to feel cut off from the general discussion! The house has full central heating and two wood-burning stoves.
There are 8 bedrooms in the guesthouse and a further 2 available on request in the main house. All bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. They are all light, airy and uncluttered, with wooden beds, white linens, free-standing sink units, corner showers and ancient beams.
You can either eat together in the guesthouse dining room/second living room, or meals can be served in the large dining room of the chateau on request. Accommodation can be either selfcatering or we can provide a fully catered service.

Welcome to “The Place with Space”! Chateau Perroterie offers a large group of up to 20, a wonderful holiday venue. The property consists of an ancient chateau and an 18th century “grange” guesthouse, which has been lovingly restored. The guesthouse can accommodate up to 20 people in eight large, oak-beamed, ensuite bedrooms, while the chateau can sleep a further four people on request.
The whole property is situated on top of a hill, with 360 degree views over the stunning, Lot-et-Garonne countryside.
This is a popular house for big groups who either need a relaxing holiday or are seeking a quiet, secluded place for a residential activity course (painting, yoga, photography, writing, wine appreciation, cookery etc).
Outside, there are large terraced areas, a swimming pool with sun terracing and 25 acres of gardens, pastures and woodland.
The English owners live in the chateau (which also has its own private pool and gardens) and are on hand when required to offer help, support and advice. The large dining room within the chateau is available for dinner parties or the owners can provide a full catered service (please contact the owners for more details). There are also two treatment rooms offering massages, manicures, pedicures etc, all of which can be booked during your stay.
LOCATION
Perfect location, in the hamlet of La Perroterie, 2kms outside the medieval town of Duras with its shops, weekly market, cafes, bars and restaurants.
Station: Libourne (50 mins – TGV link to Eurostar)
Paris is 3 hrs away, whilst London St. Pancras via the Eurostar is only 6 hrs 45 minutes.

This part of the Lot et Garonne, south of the Dordogne river, is an unchanging landscape of rivers, caves, chateaux and little unspoilt villages.
There are so many attractions in our area that we have and continue to update features on our LINKS AND INFORMATION on our website. These links include connections to the various tourist offices, vineyards etc. to allow our clients to search for themselves the things that interest them. Obviously there are wine tours, golfing and other sporting activities including canoeing/swimming/hot air ballooning etc. There are markets, restaurants, museums and chateaux to visit and there is even a fantastic chocolate factory only a few kilometres away.
