On the ground floor there is the spacious, well-furnished open plan living room with kitchen, where you’ll find a hob, oven, washing machine, dish washer, fridge, coffee machine and senseo, as well as a Magimix blender, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a greenhouse with sitting area. On the first floor there is a double bed and a large bedroom with 2 single beds. The property has electric heating and all bedding is non-allergic. There is a cot, a high chair and a baby bath, and ironing facilities. Outside there is a stone barbecue, parasols and a fire basket on the terrace. From the sunny terrace with the deckchairs, there is a stunning view on the Burgundy hills.
Exterior
This gîte is part of the 150 year old farm with several terraces and a lovely view on the surrounding hills. Relax and tranquillity in an area steeped in history, with Roman churches, and old vineyards.
Things to do locally
The 1100 year old Abbey of Cluny is well worth your visit, as is Tournus with its impressive cathedral and ancient hospital. Castles, a bicycle museum, a car museum, and photography museum. The rock of Solutre with its prehistoric artefacts and its museum. The Voie Verte from Cluny to Buxy is ideal for bicycle or skeeler tours.

Burgundian restaurants with lovely meals for every budget, and don’t miss the great wines from Pouilly-Fuisse, Saint Veran, Macon, Cremant de Bourgogne and Beaujolais. Charolais-beef, escargots and chickens of Bress are the regional specialties.
Other remarks
Set in a lovely hilly landscape steeped in history, near Cluny, Macon and Lyon. Taize: 25 km. The airports of Geneva and Lyon are near by, as is the TGV (station in Macon). On site there is car-rental.
